Welcome to Natter March
A first-time speaker event. 🎤
At Natter Community we want to provide our community with a selection of events that you can either attend or get involved with. One area we want to support and encourage is enabling people from our community to share their stories.
In March we’ll see the return of our first-time speaker events, which will include a selection of lightning talks from people new to public speaking. ⚡
We can learn from people with industry experience but also take inspiring insights from those at the start of their journey and learning their craft.
Join us at Street Group, where Ben Forrest, Shanice Clarke, Josephine Morton and Amy Harper take to the stage.
This is a smaller event so tickets are limited. Come along and show your support.

Designing for Delight: The commercial value of joyful experiences - Ben Forrest (UX Designer @ interactive investor)
Great products aren’t just usable; they create moments of joy that people remember and shout about. We’ll explore how designing for delight across physical and digital experiences can drive loyalty, engagement, and real commercial results. It's time to challenge the perception of the minimum viable product (MVP), and why the real value often comes from thinking beyond it.
7.00pm – 7.15pm
A Neurodiverse Approach to UX - Shanice Clarke (Senior Product Designer @ Dealer Auction)
What if being neurodiverse isn’t a hurdle in UX but an advantage? In this talk, I’ll share how I navigate dyslexia, overwhelm, and multiple moving parts without losing the plot. From stakeholder communication to designing inclusively, I’ll walk through the systems and approaches that keep me steady and that others who think like me can adapt for themselves. Because the thing that makes us different might just be our UX superpower.

The Beauty in the Boring: How the GOV.UK Design System makes the mundane magnificent - Josephine Morton (UX Designer @ Made Tech)
In this presentation I talk about why I love the GOV.UK Design System both as a designer and a user. How "boring" is actually really radical, and why I think there are wider applications beyond public facing services and how I wish I had known about it earlier on in my career.
7.45pm – 8.00pm
The Words That Make Us Click - Amy Harper (UX Designer @ Cantarus)
Some words make people click. Others make them click away. I’ll explain what UX copy is and how it shapes the way we use digital products every day. I’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and how small changes can have a big impact.
