Oops. Page not found. Forbidden. Access denied.
Often, error messaging is not helpful or clear – it might be too complex or too minimal. As a result, users can feel frustrated, stressed or overwhelmed because they’re not sure what to do.
A user will most likely get stuck if error states are not useful, and this is why we need good content design.
In this talk, we’ll cover:
- a brief introduction to content design and why it matters
- examples of different kind of error messages
- some UX theory and a framework you can use
- tips to help you write better error messages

UX and AI: How we're keeping it human at EM Code AI (James Carr / Colin Preston - EM Code)
When we first introduced AI into our design function at EM Code, our goal was simple: empower our people to achieve more. In this fireside chat, James Carr, Marketing Manager at EM Code, speaks with Colin Preston, Service and Product Design Director at EM Code to understand the success stories of how AI is influencing our ways working. Together, they’ll discuss how it’s been helping designers focus on what matters most – keep design human centric while utilising AI for those repetitive tasks. They’ll cover the challenges, the breakthroughs, and the impact on the team’s growth. Join us to hear how you can shape your own journey with AI in UX.
